Cards on the Table
About
"Cards on the Table" is Agatha Christie’s acclaimed 1936 detective novel featuring Hercule Poirot. The eccentric millionaire Mr. Shaitana hosts a bridge party, inviting four sleuths alongside four clever individuals who have previously committed unpunished murders. During the card game, Shaitana is stabbed to death right in the living room. Poirot solves the mystery not through physical evidence, but by brilliantly analyzing the players' personalities, psychology, and the bidding scores on their bridge cards.
